JANMARIO [DJ - Producer - Live PA]

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. His musical passion started with a very worldwide known power metal band called Iron Maiden. Started playing guitar and the bass when he was 9 years old.

Together with some other Gazcue neighbors and friends Janmario got into santo domingo's music scene at a young age. His musical knowledge got bigger throughout time as he started listening and playing to some more funky and jazzy tunes. Now bands like Jaga Jazzist, Chick Corea, 311,  Sublime, The Cure, Jazzanova, Thievery Corporation, The Parliament Funkadelics, etc. were in his top repertoir.
Seeing Sven Vath live for the first time and hearing the firstZ Global Underground Compilations made him want to incursionate in the electronic soundz.

"I remember my first DJ gear: two American Audio CDJs without the jogwheel (only +/- pitch bend) and a 2 channels American Audio mixer only with bass & treble."

He started making beats with Fruityloops, Buzz, ACID and then finished up with his favorite one: REASON. He also uses ableton live for Live Sessions and arranging of the tracks, but no one can take away from him his REASON tool, haha.
Releasing some tunes on some well known labels like Wolf + Lamb Music, and some netlabels like Flumo and Offaudio has made Janmario an important figure in the electronic music scene nowadays.
